How is Bali in 2024? 🇮🇩 | HONEST Review about my First Time in Bali

Bali, a tropical paradise in Indonesia! What can you expect when traveling to Bali? Well, I will explain everything to you now!

Bali is a small island in Indonesia that has gained a lot of popularity, due to its stunning natural beauty, beaches and spiritual energy. These factors combined have made Bali an attractive destination for travellers from around the world, earning the nickname of "Paradise Island.’’

So if you want to discover the reality of this famous place grab something to drink, make yourself comfortable and keep watching!

Planning a flight to Bali is easy as there is only one airport on the island. This airport is located in the capital of Bali, called Denpasar and is in the south of the island. Passport control at the airport was easy and fast even though there were many people.

Our first night was in the city of Denpasar. We chose a 4-star hotel of very good quality for the price of €28 per night in a double room. The views of the rice field and the swimming pools already gave us the Bali vibes that we wanted to experience so much.

The first thing we could see is the combination of nature and the peculiar temples that are here. There are also many restaurants and hotels with a very minimalist and modern design at the same time. We decided to go eat at a restaurant near the hotel with wonderful views of rice fields. Let's see what the food is like here.

As soon as the food arrived we noticed that the portions here are very large. We also met a little friend who was eating the remains of food offerings that the locals had left.

I advise you that if you don't eat much you order a dish for two people since as you can see the proportions are huge. When leaving this place we wanted to make the most of the little time of day we had left, although we were still getting used to the incredible landscapes.

Bali is an island that practices Hinduism and has some very peculiar and different temples that are part of the Balinese Hinduism. The architecture of these temples is very curious since at the entrance you can see a temple divided into two parts. We went to Seminyak beach by chance and were able to observe what was probably one of the best sunsets in our lives.

In Bali it gets dark very early, specifically at 6 in the afternoon. So we walked around different beach clubs on the beach and we saw that the prices were very high. But I must say, all the places have beautiful designs. Balinese style refers to the unique and distinctive architectural and artistic aesthetic that includes wooden architecture, ornate decorations and use of natural materials. So after our walk, we decided to have some juices before going to an incredible place.

We discovered this place by accident and I can say that it is my favorite place so far for a night out. The place is called 'the Iron Fairies' and as you can see everything is inspired by fairies. There are so many details that one night is not enough to see everything.

Entering here is like entering a magical world where you can see fairy houses, small wooden houses and magical drinks. There is also entertainment where the girls are dressed as fairies. The atmosphere was very nice and without a doubt, if you go to Bali, I recommend you go to this place. For our first day we had a good time. I even forgot that the nail on my big toe had fallen off.
