The Aalsmeer Shuttle is a vital 18-kilometer transport line within the facility, capable of transporting 2,600 trolleys per hour across the complex in just 10 minutes. This ensures fast and timely delivery of products, even across busy highways.
Royal FloraHolland occupies 775,000 square meters, equivalent to 250 football fields, operating 35 auction clocks and trading over 30,000 species of flowers and plants. Annually, 1,200 to 1,500 new botanical varieties join its catalog. On a typical weekday, 43 million flowers and 5 million plants are traded, with Royal FloraHolland accounting for 54% of all flowers and plants sold in the Netherlands.
