Yes, another video about Interview with the vampire. I know, I know... but, I can't help it, this movie and especially the books mean a lot to me. I've said it a thousand times, but I grew up with Lestat and I love him to death. Even with his many flaws, even though he isn't a saint, I love him and I think you can understand me if you read the books. I can't even explain in words why I love him, I love the books, the movie, the characters etc.. They are just a part of me, I guess.
Interview with the vampire is a 1994 American drama horror film directed by Neil Jordan, based on the 1976 novel Interview with the Vampire (the first book of "The Vampire Chronicles") by Anne Rice, and starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. The film focuses on Lestat (Cruise) and Louis (Pitt), beginning with Louis's transformation into a vampire by Lestat in 1791. The film chronicles their time together, and their turning of a twelve-year-old girl, Claudia, into a vampire. The narrative is framed by a present-day interview, in which Louis tells his story to a San Francisco reporter.
It's one of my fav movies ever, I've watched it a thousand times and it never bored me. I'm so attacched to these characters, Lestat, Louis, Armand... I spent my teenage years reading the books, so I will always love them... no matter what.
I don't care what people think or say, Tom Cruise (imo) did an AMAZING job as Lestat, he brought him to life and he, to me, will always be my Lestat!
Also Brad Pitt and Kirsten Dunst did an excellent job as Louis and Claudia. That's why I'm so pissed off about a possible remake. I don't get why they have to do it, why they have to ruin such a masterpiece. This movie had a lot of success, the cast (even tho some actors aren't like the characters on the book) is great... so why?! I hope it's just a rumor.
I don't want a remake. NOPE.
I also don't know what to think/expect from the new Anne's book... Atlantid, seriously?! ._.
Btw, I didn't expect to finish this video. I started it months ago and then I left it incomplete. But yesterday, I don't know why, my inspiration came back and I felt the need to finish it. Maybe because I was talking with my friend about Lestat and these books :P
I think this song is perfect for them, especially from the POV (point of view) of Louis. Plus, I this song so much. I love Breaking Benjamin, they're one of my fav bands and I've always wanted to make a video with a their song.
So, I'm so excited about this video! And, surprisingly, I'm satisfied with the final result. I hope you like it too. Let me know, feedbacks are always apprecciated.
