Bluewater Lake State Park is located 25 miles west of Grants, and only six miles south of Interstate 40 in northwestern New Mexico.
Situated at an elevation of 7,500 feet, the lake is a popular summer destination for a multitude of recreational opportunities including camping, fishing, boating, water-skiing, swimming, hiking, and bird watching. Dispersed camping is permitted along the lakeshore with little to no shade.
