The rising floodwaters pushed fish shallow and into new cover, and they were feeding like crazy. I was catching aggressive bass cast after cast, right in the freshly flooded shallows, and even the weirdest baits in my box were getting smoked. Whether it was a wacky rigged Hair Ball bait or a strange little JDM soft plastic that looked like a party favor, the fish didn’t care. They were chomping everything.
