Carbon Steels

Описание к видео Carbon Steels

Carbon steels undergo multiple phase changes as the molten steel solidifies and cools down to room temperature. First phase to form a delta ferrite, followed by austenite, and finally alpha ferrite. Depending on the cooling rate and carbon content, steel can range from very soft to very strong in the quenched condition.
