1930s Triang clockwork Tiger Tank restoration. A scarce vintage toy

My restoration video of this rusty old 1930s clockwork tiger tank toy made by Triang Lines Brothers.
This was quite a challenge rusted inside and out with a seized mechanism so I set about stripping it down and de rusting all the components using electrolysis ready for re spraying, the clockwork components were de rusted and cold blued and the cog frame nickel plated.
New square axels cut and soldered to look like the original hammered ends
Then finally new silicone tracks were made using a wooden and plastic mould, these prove to be really effective when it came to the final testing with the tiger tank easily navigating obstacles.
All in all a very enjoyable restoration project.
