Born to director Rakesh Roshan and his wife Pinky Roshan, Hrithik Roshan is one of the most versatile actors in the industry. The actor at the age of 6 developed a stuttering problem. Powering through his shortcomings, Hrithik Roshan went on to realise his dream to be a part of the movie business and took baby steps by assisting father Rakesh Roshan on movies like King Uncle, Koyla and Karan Arjun. Gaining experience and observing the big stars on set, Hrithik Roshan prepped for his big debut and that is all it took for the actor to become a superstar.

In the year 2000, he made a smashing debut with Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai. Playing a double role in his very first film, Hrithik Roshan proved he is cut out for the movies and went onto win two Filmfare Awards the very year. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Debut (Male) and Filmfare Award for Best Actor (Male). He holds the record for being the only star to have ever won these two awards in the same year.

Not long after, Hrithik surprised everyone with Koi... Mil Gaya (2003). The movie had Hrithik playing a mentally-challenged kid who bonds with an alien and it broke all the box-office records for the year. Directed by Rakesh Roshan, Koi... Mil Gaya became the second film for which Hrithik bagged two Filmfare Awards. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor (Male) and Filmfare Award for Best Actor (Critics).

He went on to give some brilliant performances on-screen thereafter. He added another award to his kitty with his portrayal of a handsome thief in Dhoom 2 and redefined his image as the Greek God in Bollywood.
