Hello my name is Roman and today I’m going to show you how to put a border around your image using gimp… Enjoy

Select File and Open and find your image. Export idk use something about exporting and what not.
Now I go to the right and STEP 1 right click on the link and choose Alpha to selection and you will see it created dotted lines around your image.

Step 2 go to the upper toolbar and choose Select and then select Grow and put in a variable - - this will decide the thickness of your outline - we’ll use 5. And you can see the line is now outlining the image wider so the outline will be thicker.

Step 3: Next I go to the right toolbar and right click to create a new Layer and select OK. Then drag the Layer under your original layer.


Step 4: Next I want to have a white color outline so I go to the left and choose the color white and click on the dump pail of paint icon. And you can now see the white outline.

Step 5: Now I select File and Export to download it to my computer - choose export and export again… and now the image is on my computer again.
