Kenya, Ethiopia Border Tension

Описание к видео Kenya, Ethiopia Border Tension

Onto matters national security, where the Kenyan and Ethiopian governments will soon hold a joint ministerial security meeting to look into the worsening security situation along the two countries' joint border. This emerged after a meeting between President Mwai Kibaki and Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi in Kampala, Uganda, which came just days after nearly 30 Turkana villagers were killed by gunmen from neighbouring Ethiopia. And as Evelyn Wambui reports, the border region remains tense, with no less than Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who was on a tour of the area on Wednesday failing to make it to the border point, despite having been accompanied by about 50 general service unit officers.
