The first-ever British BMX Hall Of Fame took place on November 5th, 2022. What a night! Here's induction No.10 Alan Woods in the Pioneer Male Racer category. John Bentley, Alan’s BMX team manager, said It’s difficult to call Alan Woods a pioneer of BMX, for me he IS BMX! That sentiment is shared by the BMX community across the country and the world. Alan Woods started riding in 1979 and won the first-ever National No. 1 plate in 1981. He has been instrumental in the growth of British BMX and his energy, passion, and foresight have created many, many, National Champions. Olympian Kye Whyte, “The Prince of Peckham” himself had the honour of riding for Alan’s as his first team. Alan has managed multiple Factory teams in the UK including, Torker & Robinson, He’s not just a BMX Pioneer he’s a Son, Racer, Businessman, Punk Rocker, Husband & Father and now we are proud to welcome Alan Woods into the British BMX Hall Of Fame! Class of 2022.
