DIY Copper Shower Curtain Rod for Clawfoot Tub. Make your own.

Описание к видео DIY Copper Shower Curtain Rod for Clawfoot Tub. Make your own.

Finding a suitable shower curtain rod for my clawfoot tub and angled ceiling was near impossible (unless I wanted to spend over $300). So I made one out of simple copper plumbing pipes.

This rod is rectangular, about 3.5 feet by 2.5 feet. To make this rod, I used...
-About 12 feet of 3/4" heating grade copper pipe. https://amzn.to/2WPivsy
-Two 3/4" copper elbow joints. https://amzn.to/2XtnYK0
-Two 3/4" copper "T joints".
Two 3/4" iron flanges for mounting the rod to the wall. https://amzn.to/31D736Z (I painted mine green for looks and also to slow the rusting process.)
-Two 3/4" copper male to threaded male fitting. https://amzn.to/2InkaRX

My one concern is that the copper fitting that is screwed into the flange will react with the iron and degrade over time. I will be keeping an eye on it to see how it reacts. If anyone has any insight on copper/iron interaction, please let me know in the comments below.
