nobody knows the exact history of GONPA but legend goes that padamsabhav came through this route..after he went to tibet to spread buddhism and to conquer raksha....the demon...long being ignored,but now acarya dondup has taken the responsibility to renovate it, the artifact's are old.... seriously old..
