0007 IM DOING STUFF Dorian Book cover restoration

In this video I take one of my favorite thrift finds that has a little damage and discoloration caused by insects nibbling it's boards and carefully touch it up. Not to make it feel like new but just to revive it a little. As always, don't do this kind of thing to genuinely historically valuable books. If you do restore a book with a mind to sell it make sure you disclose the work to the purchaser. Serious collectors (talking top 1% ) would much rather own a perfect condition copy or if not available a poorer condition that has never been touched. This is my personal copy and my choice restore it after much practice on less valuable books, I am not a professional conservator or restorer , just learning as I go as a hobby. I hope you will find the process interesting and satisfying. I did speed up the footage here and there to make it more enjoyable to watch.
