Another M/S woman with long woolly hat on, zipping up her life jacket. Contestants start to get their boats into the water including the boats Sonda, Can Can girl and Typhoo. Top shot of small cannon fired for start of the race. L/S beginning of race with 130 dinghies.



M/S time keepers in motor boat and more shots of contestants who are zigzagging across water. Some good shots of the yachts as they move around obstacles. M/S London yachtsman Roland Boissevain in his dinghy "Chuckle". L/S "Privulus" rounds the first buoy in good style. L/S umpire's boat with time keepers. More shots other boats rounding the buoy. M/S "Bootlegger" as it races. C/U shot of Mr Hicks, Secretary of the Mayflower Sailing Club, Plymouth looking through binoculars. Finish of race with gun or cannon being let off.



Note: the yachts are all 12 foot Nationals and they are racing for the "Sir William Burton Cup"
