For the past fifteen years, I've been making documentaries, filming the burial cave as well as learning from it, and trying to preserve the site. Now I’ve decided to take my one-man campaign to save it online to expose the burial desecration in Hawaiʻi. My web video introduces me and says, “... I live in the islands of Hawaii, where the knowledge that I gained from my elders about burials has allowed me to share my story and to share our burial practices and preservationists in Hawaii and in the United States.” Lots of online viewers learned about my campaign. Since then, that platform created opportunities to be on TV shows with conservationists, the radio, schools and colleges, to inform people who are interested in what I did and how I learned about burials.

I was surprised that National Geographic connected me to be in the 2017 National Geographic magazine, which talks about cave systems in Hawaiʻi. People from around the world helped to donate money to my cause. I was thankful for the online contributions to continue my work to bring awareness about the sacredness of Hawaiian burials in Hawaii.
