Emmy-winning documentary filmmaker Ken Burns sits down with TODAY’s Craig Melvin to talk about his new 6-part, 12-hour project called “The American Revolution” and how it took him longer to make it than the actual length of the American Revolution. He talks about why he calls it his most important project yet and why the Revolution is "open-ended" and "topical." "This is our story. This is how we came about," he says. The documentary premieres Nov. 16 on PBS.
