A few weeks ago I had the privilege of sitting down with Bronx Borough President, Vanessa L. Gibson, who is the first African-American and first woman to serve as Borough President in the history of the Bronx. In our ten-minute interview BP Gibson shared numerous initiatives and programs she’s helped to develop for the Bronx, why she feels the Bronx gets a bad rap and what she and other politicians must do to change it. Being from the Bronx myself, it was refreshing to hear that there is someone as knowledgeable and dedicated serving the Bronx as Ms.Gibson is.
