This lecture series is about a general introduction to Muslim Philosophy. Through which students will understand the basic nature of Muslim Philosophy.

This course offers an overview of the key developments in the history of muslim philosophical thought from 8th to 18th CE.

It introduces dents so various ways in which philosophers engaged with, debáted, contested the established
ways of thinking about religion, universe, reality, knowledge, mind, body, society, freedom, God.

To expose students to the major debates concerns of muslim communities in mediaeval and modern times - existential, ethical and epistemological challenges.

Understand the origin and nature of Muslim Philosophy . And also it introduce students with classical understanding about Muslim Philosophy.

It also inculcates a sense of spirit of Muslim Philosophy and its other dimensions related to God, Man and Universe.

The course would enable students to:

By the end of the course students are expected to be familiar with the greatest intellectual challenges in medieval and modern times and philosopher's responses to them.

Students shall learn how muslim jurists reconciled traditional muslim philosophy and religion with the radical scientific developments of modernity.

Revaluate the various paradigms of understanding human existence, knowledge, freedom , power, responsibility, authority.

To develop a sense of how philosophy works as a critique.
