WHO'S THAT? Creating a Mechanical Pokémon

Описание к видео WHO'S THAT? Creating a Mechanical Pokémon

Pokémon are back and we've got a new idea for you! Our order finally arrived yesterday and we couldn't wait to get started. This time, we're introducing a robotic version of Charmander! Our craftsman never ceases to amaze us with his ability to bring new ideas to life. In this video, he takes you through the entire process of creating this robotic Charmander, from start to finish. If you're a fan of Pokémon or enjoy watching the master at work, then be sure to watch this video all the way through – you will love it! First, we began by creating the skeleton using metal wire and cold-welding it together with a metal lid that we used as a base. We also scavenged some interesting parts from an old cassette player that we incorporated into the skeleton. Next, we used a plastic plate and some metal to create the hands with claws and the jaw, which we attached to the body. We then added wires and electricity to give our robot a more complete look. We took apart the toy and removed everything else so that we could cover our robot workpiece with it. After pouring glue and holding it under ultraviolet light, we created a blank for the eyes, which we then painted and inserted into the body. A little paint and we were on to the second part of the project – the pokeball. We broke the plastic ball and re-glued it to give it an older, more worn look. We sanded it down and added paint, and finally, we added some electronics inside to match the style of our Pokémon. And with that, our new idea was complete! Did you like this work?
