Nvidia fix for Steam and all other versions:
Go to Nvidia control panel
manage 3d setting
program settings tab
Click on dropdown menu under "select program to customize"
Select "Launcher [Launcher.exe]" with the witcher 2 wolf head icon.
Note: Youtube won't allow me to use curved brackets
FXAA = on
Maximum pre rendered frames = 1
Multi-display/mixed gpu acceleration = single display performance mode
Threaded optimisation = off
Triple buffering = on
Vertical sync = adaptive

note: vertical sync might not be necessary

AMD users:

-Download RadeonPro
Start RadeonPro - Add profile - Find your Witcher2.exe and click on "Open"
Click on the Advanced tab
Set Flip Queue Size to 1
Make sure RadeonPro IS running while Starting the game.

If there are still performance issues, turn settings down to low spec.

Once you do that, turn up each feature one by one.

Note: Uber sampling is pointless, keep it disabled.
