Ditch the Box - Logi Rally Bar BYOD mode

In this episode of Ditch the Box I wanted to show you a hidden (in plain sight) feature of the Rally Bar running in appliance mode. That is the ability to quickly switch from appliance mode into BYOD mode. BYOD or bring your own device/meeting mode means that you can use your laptop to connect to any meeting on any meeting platform and use the room audio/video resources instead of the built in ones on your laptop.

If you get meeting invites from businesses or people that don't use Microsoft Teams, but you still want to join from your room and use the room resources, now you can.

All you need to do is plug in the included USB and HDMI cable into the back of the Rally Bar or Bar Mini, then connect both to your laptop. This will switch the mode of the bar to BYOD mode. Then join your meeting. When done, disconnect and the bar automatically switches back to Teams mode.
