Mathe Wale Aloo

Ingredients for Butter Milk:
Milk 1 liter (room temperature)
Lemon juice 1 tbsp

Ingredients for Mathe Wale Aloo:
Oil 3 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Onion (chopped) 1/2 cup
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Paprika powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Potatoes (boiled & slightly mashed) 500 g
Water 1/2 cup
Butter milk
Green coriander as required

Directions for Butter Milk Preparation:
In a bowl add milk, lemon juice and mix it well. Set aside.
Directions for Mathe Wale Aloo Preparation:
In a pot heat oil and add cumin seeds. Cook for a minute.
Add onion and cook until translucent. Add red chili powder, coriander powder, salt, paprika powder, turmeric powder and cook for 1-2 mins.
Add potatoes and cook for 2-3 mins.
Add water and mix it well.
Now add butter milk and cook for 10-15 mins.
Dish it out and garnish it with green coriander. Your Mathe Wale Aloo are ready.
Prep time: 15-20 mins
Cooking time: 30-35 mins
Servings: 4-5
