Star Trek V: Turbolift scene fixed. The worst scene from the worst film.

Описание к видео Star Trek V: Turbolift scene fixed. The worst scene from the worst film.

To say Star Trek V: The final frontier was a letdown is an understatement. After what became a great unplanned trilogy of Star Trek II, III, & IV the crew were set to have all new adventures with their brand new ship, the USS Enterprise 1701-A. The resulting story and execution was far from the standard set by its predecessors. They’re a lot of things to complain about the film. The lackluster story, poor special effects, the clearly reduced budget, but they’re are several continuity errors the standout. Most of all to me is the Turbolift scene. After breaking out of their own brig, Kirk, Spock and McCoy escape using an unused turbolift shaft. For some reason, probably because of director Bill Shatner the deck numbers go in the wrong directions. In any naval ship, and every other Enterprise, top level is deck 1 and the numbers grow larger towards the bottom. But in this film, for whatever reason they go off of a high rise building. They start their climb at the bottom of Deck 7 and end up somewhere above deck 78! Also 78 decks is over 3 times too many decks as their should for that ship. To that end I corrected the deck signage. I also upscaled it to 4K using machine learning with Topaz Lab’s Video Enhance AI. This will be the first of a series of scenes i’m correcting from the film.
