Repair Polymer Clay sculpture with Dowels
Sometimes you have worked really hard on a piece and disaster strikes. On many occasions, glue is your best bet to fix your piece. It all depends on the pieces you are attaching back together. If your pieces are large enough and don't have much surface to glue back together a longer-lasting fix is to drill both pieces and glue a connecting piece of Wood dowel. Keep in mind that you don't have to go too deep into the clay.

Another option to save this piece would be the place the dowel into the face, resculpt the nose and rebake. This option is great if the clay you used in your original piece was a standard colour. If it was a costume colour you mixed it can be difficult to get the same colour again.
