My word, the soundtrack for this show is as equally stunning as the show itself. Made in Abyss's OST is one of my all time favorites now; Kevin Penkin is a masterful composer. When I first heard this song I cried because of how utterly beautiful its melody and vocals are. I was really surprised at first that the middle section was so different, but it works so beautifully well because to me Hanezeve Caradhina IS the Abyss. It's stunningly gorgeous, endlessly fascinating, and wonderfully unique, but also horribly terrifying, greatly dangerous, and full of vicious monsters. This song captures that wonderfully by having the dark, dissonant piano in the middle blending with some fantastic sound design on the synths. I decided for my cover of it to try to capture that same feeling, but make it decidedly more METAL \m/. The middle section here is entirely original by me; inspired by the soundtrack to Doom as well songs by Muse. The main riff is one of my favorite things I've ever written, and composing all that was so much fun. It was definitely a challenge making everything flow together with the original song, but I think I did a pretty good job and hope you enjoyed it too! If you haven't heard the rest of this OST please go listen to it; it's stunning (also the show is amazing but I will warn you it is VERY intense in some parts blood/gore wise and not for the faint of heart xD).
