At the age of 15, I had very little knowledge of Glenn Hughes when his band Trapeze came to San Antonio in 1976. However, I loved their classic album, *Hot Wire*. My appreciation for him grew when I discovered he joined Deep Purple, a legendary band in rock history.

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the album Burn was another amazing experience, as I saw Glenn in fantastic form alongside Søren Andersen (guitar), Ash Sheehan (drums), and Bob Fridzema (keyboards) on Saturday, September 7th. Hughes spent crucial years of his career as the beloved bassist and vocalist of Deep Purple, contributing to iconic albums like *Burn*, *Stormbringer*, and *Come Taste the Band*.

A special moment was anticipated during the concert, knowing that Greg Wilson, a dear friend and concert promoter with Stone City Attractions, would receive a shout-out from Glenn in honor of his friend who passed away on July 31, 2024. The song Keep on Moving was written by Glenn Hughes and David Coverdale closes the album "Come Taste The Band" published in 1975.It is the only Deep Purple studio album featuring Tommy Bolin, who replaced Ritchie Blackmore on guitar. The song itself is a true gem, not only musically but also in terms of lyrics. From the beautiful Hammond intro, through some passionate solo moments, it shines with sheer beauty of rock. The vocal duo takes us for a moving journey filled with spiritual anxiety. Simply taste the song:)
Thank you, Glenn, Søren, Ash, and the entire staff for putting on such an amazing show.
