The very first SJ X2C with interior and exterior upgrades departed Stockholm Centralstation (Cst) at 10:24 on 16-November-2021 as train 429, headed for Göteborg Centralstation (G) with press and those specially invited on board.

Shot in 4k60 so it looks a lot better on a 4k monitor or TV.

0:04 - The train passes Sävenäs Lokstation and crosses from Gsv to Or (Olskroken) on Västra Stambanan (the western mainline) at 13:34. It is headed by powered control unit X2C 2008.
1:04 - Lots of media and hoopla at the station.
1:18 - Control unit 2510 at the other end of the train. I am thankful that they have labeled the numbering on the front more clearly than the white-on-gray numbering of the previous version.

1:54 - Station announcements for regular departures were supposed to be removed just a few days ago, but received a stay of execution until an app for visually impaired travelers is completed.

5:48 - BONUS - SJ X2 from G to CST passes Borås Djurpark's (Zoo) pedestrian bridge just after the Knalleland Station on 1-April-2018 at 11:18. The zoo straddles both sides of the track and can be crossed via a tunnel and a bridge. Normally, these trains do not pass Borås, so there must have been track work or some other reason to run the trains this way instead of the normal way up and down Västra Stambanan.
