In US news and current events today, a flock of pigeons wearing MAGA hats was reportedly released over Las Vegas, Nevada.

The pigeons were released by a group called Pigeons United to Interfere Now, aka P.U.T.I.N. In a Feb 18 statement, P.U.T.I.N. called the stunt an ‘aerial protest piece’ that was ‘a gesture of support & loyalty to President Trump.’ Las Vegas is currently at the center of the political world, having hosted a DNC Debate on Feb 19, and a Trump rally scheduled in the city for February 21.

One of the pigeons is outfitted with a wig that resembles Trump’s hair to secure the hats and wigs to the pigeons’ heads, P.U.T.I.N. reportedly used eyelash glue. But Lofty Hopes, a Vegas-based nonprofit that rescues pigeons, says it doesn’t matter what kind of glue the pranksters used.

Lofty Hopes set a trap on Feb 19 to try to rescue the MAGA pigeons Lofty Hopes told NowThis that four of the MAGA pigeons have been hanging around the location of the trap. But as of the time of this video, none have walked into the trap.

The nonprofit told NowThis that it’ll keep the trap up until the MAGA pigeons are safely caught. Lofty Hopes said that within 2 months, it was able to rescue 2 of the cowboy hat- wearing pigeons that were spotted in Vegas in December 2019.
