How Social Media Fame is Related to Hatred

Recently, Shubham Mishra, a YouTuber was arrested by Gujarat police after using offensive words against a comedian. He is no exception, unfortunately. Many like him are using offensive, hate-laden commentary to gain fame over social media. What explains this disturbing trend?
