The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson Theme Song - Piano Cover - Gil Imber

Описание к видео The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson Theme Song - Piano Cover - Gil Imber

Pianist Gil Imber performs this instrumental arrangement (for piano) of the theme song for The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on CBS. This version's first half is the theme with a melody lead in the treble while the motif's repetition in the second half is the standard "karaoke" backing track routinely heard at the start of the monologue and end credit sequences. Written by Ferguson and composers Tim Mosher & Stoker, the show's intro music video originally featured vocalist Ferguson on drums and mic with various footage of Los Angeles at night. After Craig's puppets were added and removed, the title segment incorporated robot-skeleton Geoff Peterson and fake horse Secretariat for the show's final two seasons.

Performed on the Roland VR-09 keyboard.

Lyrics (for the two verses featured in this video):
It's hard to stay up
It's been a long long day
And you've got the sandman at your door
But hang on
Leave the TV on
And let's do it anyway

It's okay
You can always sleep through work tomorrow
Okay, Hey hey
Tomorrow's just your future yesterday

Tell the clock on the wall
Forget the wake-up call
'Cause the night's not nearly through
Wipe the sleep from your eyes
Give yourself a surprise
Let your worries wait another day

And if you stay too late in the bar
At least you made it out this far
So make up your mind and say
Let's do it anyway

It's okay
You can always sleep through work tomorrow
Okay, Hey hey
Tomorrow's just your future yesterday
