After a year of ownership I wanted to speed up my laptop a little, with an i5-3210M CPU, 6GB DDR3 Memory and Dedicated 2GB Video Card the biggest bottleneck is clearly the 5,300RPM 750GB Hard Drive.

I've ordered a 120GB Crucial M500 SSD for the laptop which should fair improve things and decided to sacrifice the BluRay drive for a caddy allowing me to continue using the slow 750GB drive for storage.

This video shows how to remove the optical drive, prepare the caddy by transferring the fascia and fixing bracket (Unique to any laptop) and putting it all back together.
