Can You Eat This DANGEROUS Fruit? | Monstera Deliciosa (Fruit Salad Plant) Tasting

This dangerous fruit can actually be eaten and it's very delicious, so today we’re going to be tasting this weird fruit and I'll be showing you how you can safely eat it. It’s the Monstera Deliciosa, also known as Fruit Salad Plant, Mexican breadfruit, Swiss Cheese plant or Delicious Monster. This plant is a very popular house plant or indoor plant with its beautiful large leaves with holes in them. They produce an edible fruit that looks prehistoric, and this wild fruit tastes like pineapple! But beware, they do have raphides, which is microscopic needle shaped crystals of calcium oxalate. In this video I’ll be showing you how to safely eat fruit salad plant fruit. You want to make sure you eat the monstera deliciosa fruit correctly or you will be in a fair bit of pain! I’ll also be talking about cool facts about monstera, like why they have holes in the leaves as well as the ruffled or wrinkled leaf base and the reason for that cool adaptation.
