Amirchakhmaq Square of Yazd is one of the most important historical squares of Iran located in Yazd city.
Yazd is a city in the center of Iran and it is the capital of Yazd province.
Yazd is also known as the city of winds, house of worship, House of science and practice, the city of bicycles, the city of sweets, The city of Qanat, and the city of fire and sunshine.
Amirchakhmaq Square of Yazd and its surrounding parts, as a complex, were built by Amirchakhmaq and his wife Fatemeh Khatun, which is part of the historical identity of Yazd.
Amir Jalaluddin Chaqmaq Shami (Amir Chakhmaq) was one of the generals of the great king of the Timurid period, Shah Rukh Timuri, who was elected as the ruler of Yazd in 836 AH by Shah Rukh Timuri.
The complex of Amirchakhmaq square of Yazd consists of different parts such as market, mosque, Cistern and Zorkhaneh.
