Paihia is one of the top touristic places in New Zealand, with a reason.

It is strategically located in the heart of the Bay of Islands, opposite Russell (another wonderful town and former capital of New Zealand).

It is very close to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, a historic site of the country, and from there you can visit waterfalls, rivers, go hiking and if you prefer sailing in the splendid scenery of the bay.

If you prefer, you can also enjoy doing nothing lying on the golden beach.

Anyway, a little paradise.
