Political expert, Chairman of A.P. Official Language Commission P. Vijaya Babu comments on N. Chandrababu Naidu has faced a major setback. The Anti-Corruption Bureau court has handed him over to the CID for two days in connection with the ongoing investigation into a multi-crore skill development scam. Earlier, the High Court had rejected his plea to dismiss the case. Naidu was arrested on September 9 on allegations of misappropriating funds exceeding Rs 350 crore from the Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation. The court, in its decision, emphasized the need for a thorough and professional investigation in such cases and declined to interfere with the ongoing proceedings. Naidu will remain in CID custody until September 24.
