Stan's first sailboat drone launch and recovery in strong, gusty wind.

Second flight in lighter winds had a fully charged battery fail leading to forced landing soft-crash in lake. Post-flight analysis and lessons learned in ending slides. Smart Battery gave good readings and zero alerts in preflight and flying, but entered severe failure at 49 seconds in moderate winds. Future prevention methods covered in slides. Failure happened within a normal to moderate flight envelope. Lessons Learned: Though no factory recommendations exist, mission critical batteries should be replaced fresh yearly or where flight data logs reveal early cell failures under max throttle and wind. ** Strong winds, moving ground station, and severely weak batteries still showing good measures do lead the flight computer to decide there isn't enough power to Return to Home, and therefore forced Autolanding is triggered. Flight data shows all settings were good. Ground station RTH was updating. Normal landing approach was underway at time of unusually rapid battery failure. Weak and heavily used battery in apparent excellent condition and previous use entered sudden failure aggravated by flight in fairly strong winds and gusts.
