NEWBORN Babywearing | Woven Wrap High Back Carry

Описание к видео NEWBORN Babywearing | Woven Wrap High Back Carry

High back carry with a ✨ WOVEN ✨ wrap. Please do not try this with a stretchy wrap- that puts your baby at a high fall risk!!

This isn't the best demo, there are things I could do better/show here, but I filmed multiple times over the last few days and this was the best. I'll continue making new ones and show different techniques that can work better with a small infant.

Things to consider:
☑️ You don't have to do this. If you don't feel confident or comfortable or just don't want to, don't!
☑️ A thinner fabric can be significantly easier with a newborn to get a good fit and work with- especially for beginners. Look for a GSM between 180-220.
☑️ Make sure you're really confident on the front with the specific woven wrap you plan to move onto the back with. I'd recommend knowing how to do a few front carries confidently before moving onto the back. A front wrap cross carry is going to be very similar! Know how the fabric tightens from nape of the neck to the knee pits.
☑️ Keep baby high so you can easily turn your head and hear their breathing. Take a moment here and there to just feel their breath against your back.
☑️ Consider keeping it short to start while you build up confidence, and/or take moments here and there when first beginning to regularly check with a mirror or your phone camera to ensure that your baby's face is staying clear of the fabric and that the fabric is staying snug and supporting them well.

I didn't start back wearing a newborn until my third baby. You may feel confident if you've had practice previously with your first, or not until your 5th or 6th. Or, you may just never want to and that is absolutely okay too!

Earlier back wearing can be really beneficial though for some and it is commonly done in a number of cultures worldwide.
