Chinese New Year Eve tradition | Speaking Penang Hokkien | Penang Popiah | Fresh Spring Rolls

Описание к видео Chinese New Year Eve tradition | Speaking Penang Hokkien | Penang Popiah | Fresh Spring Rolls

This video is dedicated to my mother and family sharing my family tradition on Chinese New Year Eve. We start the morning with prayers to our ancestors at 11 am welcoming our ancestors home for a feast. This is followed by my mother and sister making the popiah fillings. I joined them for the first time to make the fillings. The rest of our family members will come in the evening for a reunion to eat mother's popiah. She does this once a year during Chinese New Year. The video is mostly spoken in my dialect, which is Penang Hokkien. You can catch up on my earlier videos on how to make my family popiah fillings and for us who lives overseas I have done a video on how to make your own popiah skin or popiah wrapper we called "popiah puih".    • How to make fresh spring rolls | how ...
