In London, we have this habit of facing in the direction where the awaited bus should come from regardless of whether there are other commuters standing and waiting for the same bus! Why, once you miss your bus, you could be in for another long wait.

When waiting for the second coming of Christ, shouldn't we do the same? But how do you look in the direction of God's travel amidst so many distractions? it is a mission impossible. It is only by God's grace that when that time comes we will be ready to fly away to paradise. For those who would be found unprepared, their fate will be similar to that of the five foolish virgins. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
