NEW USER INTERFACE
Previously only available on the NEX line, the AVH-X3800BHS features the responsive, powerful and intuitive NEX user interface that is easy to use and highly customizable. It features a new clear resistive touchscreen that provides brighter, more vibrant colors and increased touch sensitivity, making it more responsive than traditional resistive touch panels.

HANDS-FREE CALLING AND AUDIO STREAMING
From hands-free calling, wireless audio streaming with artist, album, and song search, simple pairing, and voice recognition, Bluetooth® wireless technology has made life in the vehicle much more convenient. The AVH-X3800BHS with Bluetooth also includes better call quality reception using the new Wideband Speech Handsfree Profile 1.6. Nearly doubling the bandwidth of the frequency helps bring call quality similar to FM reception.

Other features include the ability to browse music libraries on smartphones wirelessly and Bluetooth Dual Device Connection for full-time connection of two smartphone devices at the same time. Now calls can be picked up by either of the paired phones, eliminating the need to pair and unpair devices.
USE YOUR VOICE
With built-in Bluetooth wireless technology, the AVH-X3800BHS provides the ability to utilize the voice recognition engine that is part of the operating system on a user’s smartphone. This feature is compatible with iOS devices that have voice recognition capability.
Users with an iPhone® 4s or newer can take advantage of Siri® Eyes Free functionality with a touch of a button. When activated, Siri voice prompts play through the vehicle’s speakers and the user’s commands and questions are received and transmitted to the receiver using the external microphone. Siri Eyes Free provides access to many iPhone functions such as music selection, making phone calls and listening to text messages, calendar information, and reminders.

The AVH-X3800BHS is SiriusXM-Ready™ so you can listen to commercial-free music, all your favorite sports, exclusive talk and entertainment, comedy, news, traffic, weather, and more! Simply connect the SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner to the dedicated port on the rear of the receiver and control and enjoy satellite radio without additional translators or cables. Features like Tune Start, Tune Scan, Replay, and iTunes® Tagging will be available on the receiver. The SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner is sold separately. Also, a subscription to SiriusXM Radio is required.
iPhone users can use the Pioneer CD-IU52 Lightning to USB cable or the Lightning cable that comes with the phone

SPOTIFY®
With Spotify being a dedicated A/V source on the AVH-X3800BHS, you now have the ability to control content from the Spotify app on iPhone and Android devices. You can play, pause and skip tracks, browse playlists, albums and radio stations on the go using the Pioneer controls. If you are a Spotify premium user (requires a monthly paid subscription), you can enjoy ad-free, high quality music even when there is no internet connection.
AUDIO & VIDEO QUALITY
The AVH-X3800BHS offers FLAC file playback capability at up to 48 kHz/24 bit high resolution CD-quality audio playback. It is also loaded with new audio settings to enhance your music listening experience including a 13-band EQ with slope adjustments, time alignment, two-way network, auto EQ, Pioneer’s proprietary Sound Retriever AIR, and high voltage preouts.

Now using component video playback, the video quality of DVD playback is improved.
DUAL CAMERA INPUTS
Dual Camera inputs can offer a secondary camera to assist with driving, towing, or parking. The first camera is dedicated to rear view, but the second camera can be selectable to another location on the vehicle for additional assistance for driving, towing, or parking.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR COLORS
Select among five colors (blue/red/amber/green/violet) for the display and 112 different colors to match unit illumination to your vehicle's interior lighting. Also choose from several background images to suit your mood.
