So I recently purchased this used Hilason treeless barrel saddle. Now the reason I wanted to try a treeless saddle was for a hard to fit rather thick horse.
Because I work with numerous horses of all different site types and sizes I wanted to have a saddle that would fit the majority of them that were larger, so this saddle would hopefully work well for that.
I will be testing it on Ranger the curly horse, Who has gotten a little thicker with some good feed. I didn't have a problem with the saddle slipping but I would have added a breast collar for sure to prevent that from happening. It definitely feels very different but watch the evaluation and see how it works for me.
