I was flying from Orlando International Airport to Dallas Fort Worth and I was genuinely excited since I was traveling First Class with American Airlines. I assumed I would have access to the Admirals Club, but at the airport I was told lounge access was only available for international flights. That was disappointing and frustrating, especially when you expect a smoother premium experience.

So I walked back to another terminal and decided to try The Club at MCO, one of the few airport lounge options at Orlando International Airport. Entry costs $55 when paying at the door, and you can also access it via Priority Pass.

When I arrived, the lounge was extremely busy. I was told to wait around two to two and a half hours before I could enter. I left the terminal, came back later, and was eventually let in, but the lounge was still very crowded.

I asked to use the shower and the staff prepared it for me. I was told toiletries would be provided, but when I entered the shower, there were none available, which was disappointing. I also had a brief discussion with the manager who said filming was not allowed. I later verified online that filming is permitted, so that interaction felt unnecessary and unprofessional.

After the shower, I headed to the bar, which was easily the highlight of this lounge. The bartender was genuinely friendly, and the complimentary drink selection was solid and enjoyable. The food, however, was very average. There were limited options, I had a salad, and that was about it.

In the end, for $55, getting a place to sit, a shower, some food, and a few drinks is not a terrible deal if you want to avoid sitting in the terminal. Orlando International Airport does not offer many lounge choices, so this is often the only option. Just keep expectations realistic, especially during peak hours.
