Blackstar HT5R Direct Output Hack

When I got my Blackstar HT5R valve amp last year I was ready to pretty much dismiss the D.I output and emulated speaker options. My old Marshall TSL has those and they are pretty awful. The whole point for me of buying a 5 watt tube amp was to get that great - everything turned to 11 - sound but at a volume that wouldn’t have the police knocking my door. My tests of the balanced XLR, headphone and usb outputs, seemed to back that up.

For some reason though I hadn’t thought about using the D.I out with my current 4 cable set up with my Boss GT100. So I tried it in my last video and was pleasantly surprised by the sound.
