In 2018 the LA County Department of Regional Planning, East LA Community Corporation, LegacyLA and Eastside LEADS (Leadership for Equitable and Accountable Development Strategies) a Transformative Climate Communities planning grant from the Strategic Growth Council. The program is an exploration into the feasibility of Community Land Trusts on public and privately owned land as a strategy to create permanent, sustainable, healthy, inclusive, stable and community controlled neighborhoods.
