Get ready to dive into the thrilling world of Travel Vocabulary with an engaging Listening Test, Prepositions & Speaking Practice! Supercharge your language skills for your next epic adventure. Don’t forget to like, share, subscribe, and hit that notification bell for more exciting content! 🌍🔊 Below you'll find the vocabulary: PART 1: backpack, seatbelt, passport control, luggage, aisle seat, safety instructions, overhead bin/compartment. PART 2: Announcement 1: "Ladies and gentlemen, we have a gate change for flight LH8114 to London. The new departure gate is Gate C 11. Please make your way to the new gate for boarding. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation." Announcement 2: "The safety and security of our passengers is our top priority. Please do not leave your luggage unattended at any time. Any unattended luggage will be subject to inspection and may be removed or destroyed by airport security personnel." Part 3: "On time" means that something happens at the scheduled or expected time. For example, if a meeting starts at 9:00 AM and you arrive at 9:00 AM, you are on time. "In time" means that something happens before a deadline or before it is too late. For example, if an assignment is due at 5:00 PM and you submit it at 4:55 PM, you have submitted it in time. So, "on time" is about being punctual and meeting a specific time, while "in time" is about meeting a deadline or avoiding being late. Part 4 Speaking Practice A: Welcome to New York! May I please see your passport and travel documents? Student: Sure, here they are. A: Thank you. What is the purpose of your visit to the United States? Student: I'm here for a business conference that will last for about a week. A: Great. Do you have the details of where you'll be staying during your visit? Student: Yes, I'll be staying at the Hilton Midtown in Manhattan. I have the reservation confirmation if you need to see it. A: That won't be necessary, but thank you. How long do you plan to stay in the United States? Student: Just for a week. My return flight is booked for next Friday. A: Good. Did you pack your own luggage? Student: Yes, I did. A: Are you carrying any items that are restricted or prohibited, such as fruits, vegetables, plants, or animal products? Student: No, I don't have any of those items with me. A: Do you have any currency or monetary instruments over $10,000 to declare? Student: No, I don't. A: Alright. Everything seems to be in order. Welcome to New York! Enjoy your stay. Student: Thank you! #TravelLanguage #languagelearning #englisch #englischunterricht #speakingpractice
