I myself am a dog lover, and there is nothing wrong with being one. In Indian culture, it is believed that when Yudhishthira went to heaven, a dog accompanied him. There is an old saying passed down through tradition: “The first roti is for the cow, and the last roti is for the dog.” Another well-known legend says that the world belongs as much to other living beings as it does to us.

In the current discourse, one could say the Earth belongs just as much to “dogs” as it does to humans. Dogs would surely rank at the very top of the list of selfless creatures in the world. Their expectations have no ulterior motive—only feelings and affection.

But the world does not run on emotions alone; it runs on practicality—on calling right “right” and wrong “wrong.” Without eyes, one cannot see; to walk forward, vision is essential. Affection for dogs is a good thing, but being blind in that affection is not. If love for dogs makes you hostile toward society, then such love is in dire need of critical examination.
