In Sri Lanka, there are few waterfalls by the same name, ‘Garandi Ella’. Gerandigini Falls, located in Nuwara-Eliya, Central Province of Sri Lanka, is also sometimes referred to as Garandi Ella. The word ‘garandi’ literally means snakes, and this waterfall is referred by this name resembling its shape where it divides into two and then meets again nearing the bottom.
