KV-1 with L-11 gun is the first soviet heavy tank in War Thunder. it has very good armor (75mm) for it's battle rating (3.7) but because of small gun has difficulties penetrating even medium tanks.
Nevertheless protection allows you to survive long enough and that's a bad news for tanks opponents. In gameplay montage video explained tanks strong and weak sides , what ammunition to use , how to position your tank and much, much more.
