Pt. Rajendra Gangani ji's Dhrupad | Taal Chautal, Raag Malkauns | By Shruti Patki and Neeraj Solanki

The Dhrupad, composed especially for Kathak, is a panegyric describing the magnificence of Lord Shiva - the humongous persona pervading the expanse of the universe. Set to the rhythmic cycle of Chautaal (12 beats), and raag Malkauns, this particular rendition has been choreographed by Shri Dheerendra Tiwari, a senior disciple of Pt. Rajendra Gangani ji.

Originally choreographed by Guruji, this Dhrupad has been musically composed and penned by Guruji himself. An extremely energetic choreography, this composition has been recorded with vital contributions from the following artistes:-
